Confession
I have a confession to make...until today I have only ever read 2 blogs..and by that I mean around 2 entries in total. I know, I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to tech. There are certain things that I am totally comfortable with..and then areas of our high-tech lives that I'm totally oblivious to.
For example, the Ipod wave..yeah totally missed that one. We have one and I have friends who worship theirs but yeah..didn't really get into the whole Ipod mania. In fact, I admit to not really knowing how iTunes even works...and I'm 29! I was born in the 80s!! (lol)
So that leads me to this, my first blog entry. I didn't think I was going to join our generation of bloggers. It seems to be totally one of those things that other people did--cool people with things to say and fun pics to back it up or those with "a message"--plus the fact that the word "blogger" sounds like some unsavoury character that you might come across in some shady downtown back alley. But here I am...joining the crowd!
I think it was set off by a book that one of my closest gf gave me about two mothers who are emailing back and forth through the course of their pregnancies, "The Mommy Chronicles" by Ellington & Triplett. It made me feel like I was "in" on their lives and not just how fun that can be to live vicariously but since I was also very pregnant at the time--how informative it can be as well.
Also, I find that I have been really been able to connect to the blogs that I have come across. The most recent one that I came across is by Kristen Ma, www.holistic-vanity.blogspot.com. I found her entries to be so real and I figured that blogging has gotten to be the ultimate in "reality tv"! :)
So here goes! I will try to maintain my blog as best as I can, especially while on mat leave when I have sooooooooooo much time on my hands...NOT! (told you I was a child of the 80s!) I hope you enjoy my posts, that they will be fun and maybe even a little funny and if there is something that you connect with in my writing.
